EastMountainSouth - EastMountainSouth

EastMountainSouth - EastMountainSouthKat Maslich and Peter Adams mix traditional Appalachian sounds with modern pop sensibilities, making the Deep South duo a sure hit with urban listeners stoked on the high-lonesome allure of O Brother Where Art Thou? Both Maslich and Adams are skilled songwriters, as heard on superb numbers like the anthemic “Hard Times” and the bittersweet “So You Are to Me.” But the magic that emerges from their harmonies puts them on par with such folk duos as Ian & Sylvia and Richard & Mimi Fariña.
